Become our new Quality Advisor and help build the strength of our organization

How do you ensure that an action-driven organization like Greenpeace makes an impact not only today, but also tomorrow and in the years to come? How do you translate passion and activism into rock-solid processes that guarantee our quality? That’s why we need you!

At Greenpeace Netherlands , we work side by side for a green and livable planet. We do this with courage and optimism. But to truly drive systemic change, our own organization must also be rock-solid. As LT Secretary—serving as Quality Advisor at Greenpeace Netherlands—you’ll be the expert who analyzes and improves our processes so that together we can achieve even more.

Want to learn more about working at Greenpeace? Watch the videos about our organization and culture here.

What will you be doing?

In recent years, Greenpeace Netherlands has built a solid foundation with clear processes and dashboards. It’s up to you to take this to the next level. You will not only provide advice and develop these processes, but you will also actively oversee the quality of our multidisciplinary processes: from the very first Program Plan to the final Campaign Evaluation, and from the multi-year strategy to annual plans and results.

In this role, you’ll be responsible for analyzing, advising, and supporting the entire organization in the development and implementation of policies and processes. You’ll take a critical yet constructive look at how we work and where we can improve. Your goal? To continuously raise the quality of our services and processes to the next level.

You will serve as the strategic right-hand person to our LT (Executive Management and Department Heads) and the project leaders. You will take a critical, guiding look at how we work and will be given a clear mandate to ensure effective, data-driven decision-making and execution.

Your focus is on:

  • Process Optimization & Coordination: You proactively identify risks or deviations in ongoing processes and actively support the Leadership Team and departments in making necessary adjustments. You provide the organization with the appropriate templates and tools (such as roadmaps and evaluation templates) and actively coordinate their effective use on the work floor.
  • Governance: You will work closely with the executive assistant and be responsible for the strategic design and long-term planning of the LT agenda. You will proactively oversee the decision-making processes for both Greenpeace Netherlands and the international meetings within our network. In addition, you will oversee major initiatives, such as monitoring our multi-year strategy.
  • Impact & Monitoring: You’ll help the organization transition to an impact- and outcome-driven approach. Together with the data team, you’ll coordinate the organization’s KPIs and dashboards so that decisions can be made across the board based on clear progress reports.
  • Evaluation & Organizational Learning: You facilitate strategic reflections (such as the Theory of Change and Way of Working) and help disseminate lessons learned more widely throughout the organization. You build consistent collaboration within the organization so that teams can apply formats and process steps independently and effectively.

Who are you?

With your analytical and sharp process-oriented perspective, you maintain a broad overview and bring calm and focus. You are able to provide a counterbalance when processes or strategic goals are lost sight of. You easily maintain a broad network at the tactical level and understand that processes are about people. In your view, change requires a healthy mix of empathy, decisiveness, and the ability to get things done.

  • You have a higher vocational education (HBO+) level of work and thinking , and at least 3 years of demonstrable experience in quality management and process optimization .
  • Results-Oriented: You proactively focus your actions and decisions on actually achieving and implementing improvements.
  • Innovation: You look to the future with an inquisitive mind, identify opportunities for innovation, and take the lead in pursuing them.
  • Organizational sensitivity: You have a keen sense of internal dynamics. You can shift seamlessly between the operational and strategic levels, building support without losing sight of the process lines.
  • You have excellent communication skills in both Dutch and English.

The team

You will be working within the People & Culture (P&C) and Organizational Development team. This team consists of 7 colleagues with expertise in the areas of P&C, Diversity & Inclusion, Culture, and Organizational Development. Within the team, each colleague has their own area of focus. You will be responsible for the process-oriented and structuring aspects of our organizational development. The team is part of the Operations department.

What do we offer?

Working at Greenpeace means you’ll be making a direct contribution to the most important cause of our time. You’ll join a team of passionate colleagues who are working together to ensure a livable planet.

  • A challenging role in which you can truly make a difference for our organization and the planet.
  • A competitive salary between €3,616 and €4,400, pay grade 8, commensurate with the responsibilities of the position and your experience (based on full-time employment).
  • A one-year contract for 24 to 30 hours per week (0.6–0.8 FTE, to be determined), with the possibility of a permanent position.
  • At our company, a full-time workweek is 37.5 hours.
  • 28 days of vacation (based on full-time employment).
  • 8.33% vacation pay.
  • Space to work hybrid at our sustainable office in Amsterdam (near the Over Amstel metro station), with a delicious vegan lunch twice a week.
  • Flexible holidays: the option to exchange an official holiday for a cultural or religious day that is important to you.
  • An NS Business Card for unlimited travel (including personal travel).
  • A sustainable pension plan with a generous employer contribution.
  • An Individual Choice Budget (IKB) for personal development, additional time off, or, for example, a bicycle plan.

Procedure

The process consists of two rounds of interviews:

  • First round of interviews: scheduled for Monday, August 3, and Tuesday, August 4
  • Second round of interviews: scheduled for Thursday, August 13, Tuesday, August 18, and Thursday, August 20

A reference check may be part of the selection process.
