Do you enjoy helping others make decisions and solve problems? Do you want to give back to society? Libraries are facing enormous challenges. They’re working to ensure that people don’t fall behind in the digital age. It’s up to you to work with them to put the pieces together.
A growing number of citizens have low literacy and lack digital skills. This has significant consequences. Every library is working hard to help these residents. Every library has a Digital Government Information Point (IDO) and organizes courses and training sessions. But basic skills, digital inclusion, and citizenship require more than that. For our education team, it is crucial—especially now—to align with the needs of the libraries. As a DI advisor, you will serve as a sounding board for both libraries and colleagues, helping us figure out how we can further support the libraries.
Every library in North and South Holland now has a Digital Government Information Point (IDO). You will provide advice on ensuring its proper implementation. In addition, you and your colleagues will answer questions from libraries regarding various aspects of privacy and assist libraries in formulating their vision for collaboration with, for example, the municipality (a key client). You enjoy working on-site as a consultant for short periods and sharing the results of the relevant project with the network. You help libraries translate their vision on basic skills, digital inclusion, and citizenship into a program and other forms of service delivery.

To support libraries, we are significantly expanding our education team. We have seven job openings. Feel free to share them with your network. Together, we can ensure that people find their way in the digital society and that no one is left behind.
