The Classical Music editorial team opens the doors to the world of classical music for the general public. Through our own live concerts, up-to-date and informative radio and TV programs, podcasts, and musical specials, we keep classical music alive.

Our Classical Music editorial team is looking for a [position] for the weekly live program *Podium Klassiek*, starting September 1, 2026.

Experienced Producer (m/f/x)

32 hours per week

Here's what you'll be doing:

• Managing the Podium Klassiek team from a production perspective;
• Act as the linchpin of the editorial team;
• In consultation with the editor-in-chief, prepare program budgets and manage the budget, ensuring compliance with the approved budget and taking timely action in the event of underspending or overspending;
• Make arrangements with freelance employees or external parties within the specified guidelines;
• In addition to *Podium Klassiek*, take on and oversee other productions within the TV editorial department;
• Discussing creative and conceptual choices with the editor-in-chief;
• Maintain contact with facilities management teams and external locations and provide guidance to them;
• Serve as a liaison between the editorial team and the technical crew (directors, camera operators, lighting, and sound).

This is you:

• You have extensive experience as a producer or production manager working on live studio programs on location;
• You are a dedicated and enthusiastic producer who works with precision, even in hectic situations;
• You should preferably have technical knowledge of online productions and/or event recordings;
• You're good at setting priorities and handling multiple projects and tasks at the same time without losing track of the big picture;
• You are skilled at preparing budgets and have knowledge of rates and costs;
• You communicate openly and approachably and inspire your colleagues to come up with new ideas and ask critical questions;
• You have a strong affinity for classical music;
• You are willing to work outside of regular office hours, specifically on Sundays during the live broadcasts of Podium Klassiek on Heuvellaan in Hilversum;
• You have an excellent command of Dutch and English.

Podium Klassiek is on the cusp of a major transition this fall. Starting in 2027, the program will no longer be broadcast live every Sunday, but rather in three separate series. In addition to the regular fall broadcasts, the focus will be on this change and the implementation of a new workflow. In this role, it is therefore especially important that you, as a producer, are able to multitask effectively, maintain a clear overview, and adapt easily.

Here's what we offer:

A temporary contract from September 1, 2026, through August 31, 2027. Depending on knowledge and experience, this position will be compensated within salary grade G (€3,449.57 – €5,056.94) of the Collective Bargaining Agreement for Broadcasting Personnel. The other terms and conditions of employment are also in accordance with the Collective Bargaining Agreement for Broadcasting Personnel.

As an NTR employee, you will receive a 6% year-end bonus, 8% vacation pay, a travel allowance, more than five weeks of vacation per year, annual salary increases, a group pension plan, and a monthly contribution toward your health insurance.
