Through your work, you help ensure that people in Amsterdam can enjoy comfortable, future-proof housing. You think ahead and help make smart decisions about maintenance, renovation, and sustainability. In this way, you have a direct impact on how residents experience their homes and neighborhoods.
Through your work, you make living in Amsterdam a little easier and more carefree every day. You help create neighborhoods where people can live comfortably, both now and in the future.
At Eigen Haard, we work alongside some 700 colleagues to provide quality, affordable, and sustainable housing for more than 100,000 residents in Amsterdam and the surrounding area. We do this with a focus on people, buildings, and the city. We work together, support one another, and take responsibility for our actions.
Our real estate requires well-considered decisions—about maintenance, renovation, and sustainability; about what’s needed today and what makes sense for tomorrow. We make those decisions together, based on reliable information and diverse perspectives. As a Technical Advisor in Asset Management, you play a key role in this process. Do you enjoy helping to determine the technical direction of real estate? And do you thrive on collaborating and advising in a complex environment?
Then we’re looking for you to be our new:
Amsterdam – 36 hours per week
Together with the Social Advisor AM and the Asset Manager, you form the management team, within which you serve as the technical point of contact. You assess the desired quality of our housing against the current condition of the portfolio and translate this into proposals for maintenance, renovation, and sustainability improvements within (parts of) our real estate portfolio.
You will work with information from sources such as the long-term maintenance plan (MJOP), complaint records, and repair requests. Based on this information, you will propose strategies for the complex and further develop them in collaboration with colleagues on the management team and in the housing and strategy departments. If any information is missing, you will actively seek it out from complex analysts, supervisors, and colleagues in the neighborhood.
Together with complex analysts and operational departments, you will prepare the budget for planned maintenance and sustainability initiatives. You will play a coordinating role when weighing the options of demolition and new construction, renovation, or preservation.
In your technical role, you’ll make a significant contribution to the “Real Estate Data in Order” program. You’ll know what information and data are needed to make sound real estate decisions, identify any gaps, and ensure that this information becomes available to the organization. You’ll also help shape the future development of our information systems and related processes.
If there isn’t a clear policy in place yet, you’ll work with the steering team to establish clear guidelines for managing our real estate.
At Eigen Haard, you’re working toward something bigger than just your own job. Together, we ensure that as many people as possible have a home—in neighborhoods where people look out for one another. We do this together with colleagues, residents, and partners throughout the city. Everyone contributes in their own way, whether they work in the office, in the neighborhood, or on a project. That’s how we make housing happen.
You will be part of a management team that brings together various disciplines. In your technical role, you will serve as a regular point of contact for colleagues and a reliable resource within the organization. You will frequently collaborate with systems analysts, supervisors, and colleagues working in the neighborhood.
We operate on a hybrid model, with flexible hours and the freedom to organize your work in a way that suits you. The atmosphere is open and collaborative. We trust in each other’s professionalism, support one another, and are open to new ideas. At Eigen Haard, there’s room to learn, grow, and be yourself.
You work with conviction and an eye for the bigger picture. You think analytically and conceptually, and know how to translate your insights into clear recommendations. You involve your colleagues in this process and actively seek collaboration.
In addition:
Even if you don’t meet all the criteria, we warmly invite you to apply.
You’ll be working for an organization with a clear social mission, where quality, collaboration, and professional development are prioritized. You’ll be given the trust and freedom you need to do your job well.
