Owner's Representative (Homeowners' Associations)

Together, we are working to further professionalize our real estate management, with room for insights from the field.  As an Owner Representative, you play a key role in this. Owner Representative (Homeowners' Associations) 

Amsterdam – 28 to 32 hours per week

Why this job makes a difference 

Eigen Haard manages 58,000 homes, 11,000 of which are part of Homeowners’ Associations. In approximately 50 of these associations, you will serve as the primary point of contact and the face of Eigen Haard. You will represent the interests of our tenants and the housing association, and you’ll take an active interest in the complex as if you lived there yourself.  Your work directly impacts people’s daily lives. You contribute to proper maintenance, greater comfort, lower energy costs, and a pleasant living environment. In doing so, you deal with diverse interests and situations. No two days are the same.  What makes this role particularly special is that you’ll be working within a department that’s constantly evolving. Owner Representation is part of Portfolio and Asset Management. Together, we’re working to further professionalize real estate management. Your practical experience with homeowners’ associations will be invaluable in this effort.

This is the job for you 

Relationship management is at the heart of your work. You build lasting relationships with homeowners’ association boards, co-owners, property managers, and colleagues at Eigen Haard. You know when to listen, when to provide guidance, and when a compromise is needed.

• You can keep track of three related components.
• You review budgets, financial statements, and long-term maintenance plans, ensuring that decisions are financially sound.
• You will oversee maintenance and sustainability efforts, help improve energy ratings, and monitor the quality and value of the complexes.
• You have an eye for quality of life and consider how decisions affect residents and the neighborhood. In addition, you represent Eigen Haard at homeowners’ association meetings. These are mainly held in the spring and sometimes in the evening, both in person and online. You may occasionally serve on a board or be active on an audit committee. You’ll work closely with colleagues from Asset Management, Arlanda Homeowners’ Association Management, Neighborhood Development & Quality of Life, and daily and scheduled maintenance. You’ll also contribute ideas regarding the department’s ongoing development.

• You have a college-level education and way of thinking.
• You have knowledge of homeowners' associations and relevant laws and regulations, such as condominium law.
• You have experience providing professional services related to homeowners' association management, preferably in mixed-use complexes with both owners and tenants.
• You have an interest in sustainability and real estate management.

• A salary ranging from €4,338 to €6,258 gross per month for a 36-hour workweek, under Scale I or J of the Housing Services Collective Bargaining Agreement; starting pay depends on knowledge and experience
