As a Security Officer, you ensure that information security isn’t just a policy, but is also technically sound. You translate risks into concrete measures and help build an organization where systems operate safely and reliably. Interested? Apply today!

You will help strengthen our digital security.

This will be your job

As a Security Officer, you will be part of the Security Team within the Information Services department at Victim Support Netherlands. Together with the CISO and your fellow Security Officer, you will work to strengthen the organization’s digital security.

You will assist in monitoring security incidents and technical vulnerabilities in collaboration with IT partners and supply chain partners. You will analyze reports from various sources and develop measures to mitigate risks. You will play a crucial role in cybersecurity incidents.

In addition, you will contribute to risk analyses and provide advice on security measures and risks for projects and changes. You will assist in the implementation of measures that contribute to compliance with standards such as ISO 27001 and DigiD.

You will also actively contribute to knowledge sharing and raising awareness about cybersecurity, and support your colleagues with technical security issues. Through your dedication, you will ensure that information security remains visible, practical, and future-proof. As a Security Officer at Victim Support Netherlands, you will make a difference for the organization and for the people who rely on our services.

This is what it's all about

An opportunity to apply your technical expertise in cybersecurity to an organization with an important social mission. Thanks to your efforts, systems will remain secure, risks will be managed, and information will be well protected. You’ll also receive:

  • A one-year contract with the possibility of permanent employment.
  • A personalized budget: 26 additional hours of leave, 8% vacation pay, and an 8.3% year-end bonus—to be used however you like.
  • Access to training courses and the Skills Town learning platform.
  • An individual career budget.
  • An NS Business Card, for business travel in second class.

Who are you?

We are looking for a colleague who loves to learn and is motivated by improving digital security. You know how to translate risks into practical solutions and communicate clearly with colleagues and stakeholders. You also have:

  • A completed associate's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field;
  • 1 to 3 years of work experience in information security or cybersecurity;
  • Knowledge of network security, cloud solutions (Azure/M365), and SIEM applications;
  • Familiar with ISO 27001, DigiD, and current security developments;
  • Strong communication skills and a results-oriented work ethic;
