Due to the growth of our organization, we are looking for a commercially savvy and strategic Relationship & Marketing Manager—someone who builds lasting partnerships, identifies opportunities, and works alongside the marketing team to further grow and position Fawaka.

About the role

As a Relationship & Marketing Manager, you’ll build lasting relationships with school boards, government agencies, and community partners. You’ll do this through a genuine commitment to education and the (social) issues our partners face. You understand how educational organizations operate, have a keen sense of what’s going on, and know how to use that insight to initiate and deepen meaningful partnerships.

You engage in conversations at various levels—from school principals to administrators and policy advisors—and know how to connect educational and social issues to what Fawaka has to offer. In these discussions, you are a collaborative partner who thinks along with others and adapts to the situation.

In addition to your work in the field, you serve as the bridge between the sales and marketing teams. You lead the teams and ensure that what’s happening in the field is immediately incorporated into campaigns, content, and positioning—and vice versa. In this way, you work together to boost Fawaka’s visibility and growth, always with our mission as your guiding principle.

What will you be doing?

• Building and maintaining a network of school boards, government agencies, and community partners
• Conducting advisory and sales meetings at the operational, tactical, and strategic levels
• Initiate and strengthen sustainable partnerships that contribute to both Fawaka’s mission and its growth
• Working toward both short-term results and long-term partnerships
• Developing and monitoring account plans, the sales pipeline, and commercial objectives
• Leading the marketing and communications team with a focus on shared results
• Strengthening our visibility and positioning within the education sector
• Ensuring alignment between commercial goals, campaigns, and positioning

Who are we looking for?

You may also recognize yourself in the following:

• Relationship Management: You have proven experience in strategic relationship management or a commercial consulting role, preferably in education, the (semi-)public sector, or a nonprofit organization. You are able to build lasting partnerships through consultative selling.
• Education as a field: You have an interest in social and educational issues and understand how decision-making works in the public sector.
• Marketing aptitude: You have experience in marketing or communications, or are highly motivated to develop your skills in these areas so that you can bridge the gap between sales and marketing.
• Entrepreneurial & organized: You are able to translate strategic plans into concrete commercial results, and you are comfortable navigating between strategy, tactics, and execution.

It's an added bonus if you:

• Have experience working at a startup, scale-up, or social enterprise
• Have specific knowledge of the topics of global citizenship or diversity and inclusion
