Our team consists of five lawyers and a management assistant, ranging from Gen X to Gen Z. We’re a close-knit and supportive team. What you will be doing

As a legal professional, you will advise and work with various teams within AVROTROS and our partner broadcaster PowNed on a wide range of legal matters. You will play an indispensable role in supporting our media productions and policy development.

In addition:

• you will handle challenging cases involving media and copyright law;
• You will represent AVROTROS in negotiations and consultations and draft (production) agreements;
• provide advice on privacy laws;
• Are you involved in the digital transition (AI)?
• You will consult with fellow broadcast lawyers on various issues affecting public broadcasting;
• you share your expertise in training programs for program producers.

Who We're Looking For

We are looking for a lawyer who can quickly grasp complex issues and come up with appropriate solutions on their own initiative.

• You have a bachelor’s or master’s degree in law and at least three years of work experience;
• Knowledge of privacy law, intellectual property law, and contract law is required;
• An interest in media law and/or information technology is a plus;
• You have strong communication skills and are highly persuasive;
• You are a team player who actively contributes to achieving a common goal;
• You closely follow social and political developments;
• You take the initiative, are results-oriented, and are able to achieve ambitious goals on your own.

Here's what we offer

In addition to a challenging position within an ambitious and creative organization, we offer a 24-hour-per-week employment contract, initially for one year with the possibility of a permanent position. The position is classified in pay scale H, in accordance with the Collective Bargaining Agreement for Broadcasting Personnel. This agreement includes, among other things:

• 8% vacation pay;
• 6% December bonus;
• A travel allowance of €0.21 per kilometer (up to 100 km per day);
• Option to work (partly) from home;
• If you are a full-time employee, you are entitled to 25 days of vacation per year, to be scheduled in consultation;
• A health insurance allowance of €52 gross per month;
• The freedom to exchange holidays and use our prayer and meditation rooms;
• A wheelchair-accessible building with modifications where necessary;
• Fun get-togethers, as well as informative workshops and courses.
