Data Protection Officer

In this role, you will serve as the strategic expert in the field of data protection and privacy. You will play a key role in ensuring compliance with the GDPR and other privacy laws, and will be responsible for providing strategic oversight and guidance within the organization. You will make a direct contribution to improving healthcare processes and the security of (patient) data in an innovative, top-tier clinical setting.

You will work closely with the Privacy Officer, Corporate Information Security Officer (CISO), and other stakeholders to ensure a robust privacy infrastructure and risk management framework. The department is currently evolving, and you, as the Data Protection Officer (DPO), can play a key role in this process.

As the Audit, Risk, and Compliance Department of the most innovative top-tier clinical hospital in the Netherlands, we believe that innovation is key to improving healthcare, and ensuring the safety and integrity of our processes plays a major role in maintaining the highest standards of compliance and risk management.

Your talents

• A relevant associate's or bachelor's degree, such as a degree in law.
• At least 3–5 years of experience in data protection, privacy, or a similar role within the healthcare industry or a regulated sector.
• Thorough knowledge of the GDPR and other relevant laws and regulations.
• Experience in consulting and risk identification, particularly with regard to new systems and technologies.
• Certifications such as CIPP/E, CIPM, CIPT, or similar are preferred
• Strong analytical skills and a high degree of integrity.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to provide strategic advice and collaborate within networks such as NVZ and Santeon.
• Experience with audits and DPIA’s, and an independent approach to work.

We offer you

• Salary based on FWG 65 or FWG 70, which can amount to €7,862 based on a full-time position of 36 hours per week (Collective Labor Agreement for Hospitals, Scale 70); the starting salary depends on your education and experience.
