We are currently looking for a:
Fundraiser for Mid-Level Donors (0.8–1.0 FTE / 30–37.5 hours)
The fundraising team is expanding to help us achieve our ambitious goals of significant growth in membership and revenue. Together with your colleagues, you’ll explore the most effective ways to connect with potential donors.
What will you be doing?
- You will work with your colleagues to further develop and implement the fundraising strategy.
- You will develop and implement a strategy for (potential) middle-level donors, with the goal of increasing long-term revenue.
- You will build a network of potential middle-level donors, inspire them with our mission, and communicate the impact of their contributions.
- You will highlight middle donors to other stakeholders and develop fundraising proposals.
- You maintain relationships with existing individual middle-level donors through one-to-many communications and (exclusive) events. This helps you build stronger connections, foster longer-term engagement, and secure larger contributions.
- You will develop materials such as fundraising proposals and donor communications (emails and letters) and organize events for middle-level donors.
- You will ensure consistency across the various forms of fundraising for middle-income donors, such as direct mail, emails, and events, and determine which ones are most important.
- You will analyze results and use them to further optimize our growth strategy, which focuses on (potential) middle-income donors, and to increase our revenue.
What are you bringing?
- You have completed a relevant degree program at the associate's degree level.
- You have at least 3 years of experience in relationship management, fundraising, marketing, or digital marketing at another nonprofit or social organization.
- You have a good understanding of what matters to donors and can identify opportunities to engage them in our mission and campaign goals.
- You have experience providing strategic advice to senior leadership and management on fundraising
- You can write effective proposals, including a solid budget where necessary.
- You have a professional demeanor and are able to tell a story in a compelling way.
- You have experience managing suppliers and research firms.

Who do you work with?
You will be part of a team of eight people: one major donor relationship manager, two endowment fund relationship managers, two fundraisers for the private sector, one retention fundraiser, and one legacy giving relationship manager.
You will report to the fundraising team leader, who reports to the head of the Communications & Fundraising department. You will also collaborate with online marketers, social media experts, data specialists, communications specialists, and content specialists.

- A salary ranging from €3,560 to €5,476 for full-time employment, depending on your knowledge and experience. At Milieudefensie, this is a 37.5-hour workweek.
