More about this organization
Two employees are working at their desks in front of a wall covered with Greenpeace campaign posters.

No resources, no action. At Greenpeace, we don’t do what’s politically feasible; we do what’s necessary to protect our planet. But to keep our fleet at sea and give our campaigns the power they need, we rely on donors who stand behind us. Are you a strategic connector who spots opportunities in the market and knows how to turn them into sustainable revenue? Then we need you.

As a Fundraiser for Loyalty & Value Enhancement, you will be responsible for the Middle Donors segment at Greenpeace Netherlands. This is a unique and important group of donors who make above-average contributions and play a substantial role in our campaigns. You will ensure that these donors receive the attention and personalized engagement that matches their level of commitment.

You will be part of the Marketing, Acquisition & Loyalty Team. This team focuses on attracting and retaining donors. We work to grow our supporter base and build strong, long-lasting relationships with our donors. Using marketing, data, and smart campaigns, this team is building a larger and stronger movement for a green future.

What will you be doing?

You will be responsible for developing, implementing, and evaluating Greenpeace’s Middle Donor strategy. You will serve as the strategic liaison who identifies market opportunities and translates them into sustainable revenue. You will look beyond the issues of the day and build a growing community of highly engaged donors.

  • Fundraising & Growth: You are the driving force behind the growth of our Middle Donors. You develop the strategy and execute it from start to finish. Through impactful campaigns, you attract new donors and inspire existing donors to take the next step. You develop innovative proposals and continuously adjust your approach to achieve results.
  • Loyalty & Content: You are responsible for the experience of our Middle Donors. You develop content and email campaigns that show our donors the impact they are making. In this way, you build strong, long-lasting relationships.
  • Personal donor relations: You are the face of Greenpeace for this group. You engage in in-depth conversations, answer questions, and organize events where donors can meet our experts and campaigners.
  • Data-driven optimization: You’ll dive into our CRM to refine the donor journey. You’ll select the right target groups and apply international best practices to maximize the impact of every dollar.
  • Synergy: You serve as the link between the Marketing and Major Gifts teams. You ensure that the donor journey runs smoothly and work closely with your content colleagues to craft a single, powerful Greenpeace narrative.

Who are you?

You are a driven professional who connects easily with others and is genuinely curious about what motivates our supporters. You are a true entrepreneur: you see opportunities to make an impact everywhere and have the passion to turn those opportunities into reality. You combine a sharp, analytical mind with the courage to think outside the box. In our dynamic organization, you know how to inspire your colleagues and ensure that ambitions are turned into concrete results.

  • You have a college-level (HBO/HBO+) level of work and thinking.
  • You have a strong background in fundraising, with proven experience in developing strategies for donor loyalty, retention, and value growth.
  • You are innovative and enjoy exploring how new technologies can help us make a bigger impact.
  • You are a sociable, empathetic, and articulate person with a business-minded approach: empathetic, attuned to organizational dynamics, and results-oriented.
  • You have excellent communication skills, a way with words, and an excellent command of both Dutch and English.
  • You are a team player who is results-oriented without losing sight of team spirit and collaboration.

What do we offer?

Working at Greenpeace means you’ll be making a direct contribution to the most important cause of our time. You’ll join a team of passionate colleagues who are working together to ensure a livable planet.

  • Salary between €3,781 and €4,859 (based on full-time employment), depending on knowledge and experience.
  • A one-year contract for 30 hours per week (0.8 FTE), with the possibility of a permanent contract.

In addition to a role that is both substantively challenging and socially relevant, we also offer attractive employment terms. You’ll enjoy a high degree of flexibility, excellent transportation benefits, a comprehensive package of optional benefits, and a sustainable pension plan.

  • NS Business Card with unlimited public transportation (including for personal use, 2nd class).
  • Individual flex budget for items such as additional leave, training, a bicycle allowance, or a gym membership.
  • 28 days of vacation (based on full-time employment).
  • A sustainable pension plan with a generous employer contribution.
  • Laptop, phone, and mobile plan.
  • Flexible hybrid work and an inspiring, sustainable workplace at our office in Amsterdam.
  • A group vegan lunch twice a week.
  • The opportunity to use your professional expertise to make a real difference.
  • A challenging role where you can truly make a difference for our organization and the planet.
