Our team handles complaints and records them based on the grounds and areas covered by the General Equal Treatment Act (AWGB). Discriminatie.nl Amsterdam Region receives an annual subsidy for the performance of its duties from the regional municipalities: Amsterdam, Aalsmeer, Amstelveen, Diemen, Ouder-Amstel, Uithoorn, and the Driemond-Weesp urban area. We maintain contact with the regional municipalities and with local and national organizations dedicated to equal treatment and combating discrimination.
Our Amsterdam office consists of a small team of seven Discrimination Case Consultants, a Discrimination Case Coordinator, a Senior Policy Officer, a Project Coordinator, and an Office Manager, all led by Director Jerrol Marten and supervised by the board. We are looking for a new colleague to fill the position of: Discrimination Case Consultant
The role involves various tasks, including recording and handling complaints, informing and advising clients, and responding to requests for information. We review the progress of complaint handling on a weekly basis. The complaint protocol serves as our guide. Conducting intake interviews, legally assessing complaints, mediating, and developing an action plan are all part of the complaint handling process. The consultants maintain contacts in the field and provide information. Within the team, there may be variations in the focus of the role based on affinity, knowledge, and experience.
Hours per week: 24, schedule to be determined by mutual agreement
Start date: as soon as possible
Term of employment: six-month contract with the possibility of renewal
Collective Bargaining Agreement for Social Work: Grade 8
