The Communications & Brand department is responsible for the brand strategy and marketing communications of the corporate KRO-NCRV brand and our program brands across all channels (radio, television, and online). In doing so, we ensure that KRO-NCRV is recognized as a socially relevant media organization. Our team consists of passionate colleagues who work on the programs and the overarching KRO-NCRV brand with a collaborative and entrepreneurial mindset. We aim to engage a broad audience and make an impact.
The department consists of three teams: the corporate communications team, the marketing communications team, and the brand & promo team. As the brand & promo team lead, you will manage the latter team.
In the Communications & Brand department, you’ll work closely with the Digital & Marketing department. Together with specialists in online, social media, data, research, promotions, events, and internal and corporate communications, you’ll develop impactful campaigns. Outside the department, you’ll collaborate closely with editorial teams, advertising and media agencies, and nonprofit organizations.
As Brand Manager/Team Lead, you will be responsible for the brand strategy and campaigns aimed at establishing KRO-NCRV’s recognition as an influential social media organization. You will also serve as Team Lead of the Brand & Promo team (7 FTE), which consists of a campaign manager, event producers, promo directors, and a promo coordinator. As Team Lead, you will coach and develop your team, ensure optimal organization, and improve processes.
Within your team, you will lead and oversee the development of impactful marketing communication campaigns. As a hands-on team leader, you will also create impactful campaigns yourself. You will maximize the value of the KRO-NCRV corporate brand and its more than 270 program brands. You will monitor and strengthen brand positioning and ensure the implementation of a consistent visual identity. As a social media organization, we collaborate with social partners. In cooperation with editors-in-chief, you will manage ongoing partnerships with partners, initiate new collaborations, and optimize these partnerships.
As Brand Manager/Team Lead, you will report to the Head of Communications & Brand and serve as the link between the Communications & Brand department and the Digital & Marketing department.
We are looking for a brand strategist with a bachelor’s or master’s degree and at least seven years of experience in a similar role.
We are offering a 36-hour-per-week employment contract; this is initially a one-year contract starting September 1, 2024.
In accordance with the Collective Bargaining Agreement for Broadcasting Personnel, this position is classified in pay scale J. The salary depends on age and experience and ranges from €4,354.86 to €7,047.84.
