The Act on a More Balanced Gender Ratio on Supervisory and Executive Boards, also known as the “Gradual Quota and Targets Act,” has been in effect since January 1, 2022. This law establishes a phased-in quota for publicly traded companies and requires the 5,000 largest companies to report annually on their goals in the form of a target figure, the gender composition of the executive board, the supervisory board (SB), and the senior management, as well as their action plans to achieve these objectives. The SER assists companies in this process and supports them with reporting.
The SER has been tasked with monitoring progress on the law, ensuring transparency, and developing an infrastructure to support companies in designing diversity policies and achieving diversity. This infrastructure is theSER Diversity Portal, an online reporting portal.
In this role, you will work at the help desk for the SER Diversity Portal. You will assist companies with their annual reporting of targets and gender ratios in the SER Diversity Portal. In addition, you will contribute ideas on how to improve the information provided about reporting on the website.
You will be working in the Good Governance and Innovation program. The program consists of approximately 15 policy officers who work to promote employee participation, improve working conditions, and foster diversity in companies, as well as to handle complaints and disputes related to employee participation, medical examinations, mergers, and international CSR.
This is a 24-hour-per-week position. The contract is initially for one year. Start date: as soon as possible. The salary ranges from a minimum of €3,750 to a maximum of €4,936 gross per month for full-time employment (38 hours per week). The Social and Economic Council (SER) advises the government and parliament on the broad outlines of socio-economic policy. The SER also facilitates agreements and covenants and performs administrative tasks. The Council brings together independent members appointed by the Crown, employers, and employees. Approximately 170 staff members work in the SER’s administrative organization.
SER staff work in a particularly dynamic environment. They operate in close proximity to the political sphere, collaborating with a wide range of civil society organizations that often have divergent interests. Policy analysts work in project teams to address current socioeconomic issues. The organization has an informal atmosphere and fosters a great deal of personal interaction.
