The built environment is evolving rapidly. New building materials, the transition to renewable energy, and climate-adaptive construction all entail risks. These changes are taking place in a complex and densely built-up environment. In this challenging role, you will have the opportunity to act as a bridge between different fields of expertise and help ensure that new spatial developments are carried out safely.
Your responsibilities include influencing environmental visions, plans, and programs, as well as policies and laws and regulations. You work not only in response to specific requests but also take the initiative to identify and pursue your own projects. You adopt a proactive, risk-focused approach and highlight the impact of bio-based and circular construction, high-rise buildings, underground construction, and other related areas to the appropriate stakeholders. You ensure that the safety of residents receives full attention in new spatial developments. Therefore, you explore opportunities and measures you can take to make buildings and the surrounding environment as safe as possible. You advise on feasible and effective measures to keep risks manageable. Drawing on your knowledge and expertise, you draft policies and provide advice on complex issues and developments.
As an ambassador, you will build a strong network of relationships that you will maintain with dedication. You will participate in national working groups and collaborate closely with other Safety Regions. You are familiar with political and administrative channels, represent the organization’s interests, and are mindful of the interests of others. Within the team, you play a key role, including mentoring talent. You contribute ideas on knowledge development, quality improvement, and process efficiency.
Finally, you ensure the effective transfer of knowledge and information to our colleagues in incident response, professional competence, and operational preparedness. You notice when the safety chain is broken, and you are also able to gather relevant information and convey it to the enforcement side of our organization. You base your recommendations partly on practical experience and research. In doing so, you play a central role in our mission to provide integrated and risk-based advice.
You’re confident, proactive, and results-oriented, and you have experience with project-based work. You work independently but not in isolation, because above all, we’re looking for a sociable and fun colleague who’s a pleasure to work with.
You connect well with others and have a knack for engaging them and inspiring them with your enthusiasm. You know how to handle resistance and don’t let it throw you off balance. You are customer- and solution-oriented and are attuned to the organization and its dynamic environment.
