Would you like to help keep the residents of Zaanstreek-Waterland safe?
You’ll serve as the central point of contact for a wide range of legal issues within the organization. This includes reviewing contracts, handling WOO requests and complaints, and drafting policies. You’ll stay informed about upcoming legislative changes, assess their impact on the organization, and help implement them. You’ll also regularly collaborate with neighboring regions.
We believe it is important for you to look beyond your own area of responsibility. You are curious and can relate to the core operations of the Safety Region.
You provide colleagues with solicited and unsolicited advice on legal issues and identify legal risks.
In doing so, you take into account the political and administrative environment, organizational interests, and their impact.
There are plenty of challenges waiting for you. No two days are the same, and you’ll largely shape your own schedule. Below, we’ve outlined “just a typical day.” Does this sound like something you’d enjoy? Then we’re looking for you.
You start the day by going through your incoming emails. Among them, you see a request from the Procurement and Tendering Advisor to review a contract. You take a quick look and send your feedback.
After that, you’ll have an online meeting with the national network of legal professionals. Among other things, you’ll discuss the upcoming legislative changes and their impact.
After the post-lunch walk, you’ll have a project meeting about the Open Government Act. You’ll discuss the progress made and the next steps that need to be taken.
You will then see in your email that you have received a response from a municipality regarding the changes you made to the Joint Arrangement. You review the feedback and process it.
At the last minute, you see a WOO request come in. You immediately check in with the manager of the relevant team.
For this position, it is important that you:
A great position within a dynamic organization.
A salary of up to €5,773.00 gross per month, depending on your qualifications and experience (up to pay grade 11 for a 36-hour workweek). The initial appointment is for a term of 1 year, with the intention of offering you a permanent position if you prove to be suitable.
In addition to your salary, you will receive a discretionary budget equal to 18.63% of your salary. You can choose to have this paid out or use it, for example, to purchase additional time off. Are you interested in further professional development? You can discuss this with your manager.
We reimburse 100% of your commuting costs when you use public transportation, and we offer the option to lease a bicycle. If you use other modes of transportation, we provide a mileage allowance.
We have a gym, a sports program, and a leave savings plan. You can work from home part-time, and we’ll provide you with the necessary equipment and pay you a daily allowance.
We look forward to receiving your application! Interviews are scheduled for September 28. Please make a note of this date in your calendar.
If you’d like more information or to discuss this opening, please call Michelle Broerse (06-463 947 13), Team Leader of HR and Management Support. We’d also be happy to meet for a cup of coffee.
