Who will take Aniek’s place? She’s on a sabbatical, but the work goes on. Libraries, our clients, need support to help children and adults improve their digital and language skills. Are you up for the challenge? Does the idea of innovation and education get your heart racing? Are you ready for a new challenge? Then come join our team. And even when Aniek returns, we’ll still need you!
You’re probably aware that 33% of 15-year-olds have low literacy skills. And that 2.5 million Dutch people struggle with reading, writing, math, and using a computer or smartphone. Libraries and schools face major challenges. To help libraries, we advise them on how to collaborate with schools and which programs are best suited for this. Sometimes we develop a product, such as the Wolk app, which can be seamlessly integrated into libraries’ (digital) language programs. Fortunately, you’re a pro at this and have even more to offer.
Your responsibilities are varied. You’ll be filling in for Aniek, but that doesn’t tell the whole story. You’ll advise libraries on how to collaborate with educational organizations to implement a language-digital approach. Sometimes you’ll work at a library for a short period to achieve the results you envision. In addition, you’ll help our clients teach digital skills to children ages 0 to 18. So you’ll be laying the foundation for life in the online information society. And, of course, you’ll be the main point of contact for our Wolk app.

In the coming years, we will be working closely with our libraries to focus strongly on language skills, digital literacy, and inclusion. As the world becomes increasingly digital, we want to work with libraries to ensure that no one is left behind (or excluded from society). It’s never too early to start building foundational skills like language and digital literacy. Our education team is expanding and has seven job openings . Share them with your network. Together, we are building a society where there is a place for everyone and no one feels left out.
Probiblio advises public libraries in North and South Holland. We assist them with research, provide new insights, and offer advice on digitization, HR, and their operations. Together with the library, we develop educational policies and support the library in implementing and ensuring their success. In doing so, we help libraries put themselves on the map. In addition, we transport books and materials. We are happy to do so. Libraries are incredibly important: they connect society.
