
The one-year IT traineeship combines on-the-job training with a comprehensive training program designed to develop both technical and soft skills. Together with your fellow trainees and Talent Manager, you’ll work on your professional and personal growth. We offer engaging training courses tailored to your needs and ambitions.
From day one, you’ll be working in a high-impact IT role at one of our client companies. At the same time, you’ll follow a customized training program tailored to your ambitions. There’s a strong focus on who you are as a person and where you want to grow. You choose the track that suits you best:
Software Development Internship - Become an expert in back-end, front-end, or DevOps. You’ll gain a solid foundation in programming languages such as Python and JavaScript, build applications, and work on real-world client solutions.
Data Science Internship - Learn how to transform complex data into clear, actionable insights. You’ll work with programming languages like Python and R, expand your knowledge of SQL even further, and use tools such as PowerBI or Tableau.
Business IT Traineeship - Become the crucial link that ensures IT solutions align with the organization’s needs. You’ll expand your knowledge of methodologies such as Scrum, Prince2, and ITIL, and develop skills such as consulting and stakeholder management.
After your introductory meeting at Young Colfield, we’ll work together to find the right assignment for you. You’ll receive guidance during interviews with potential clients and honest feedback. You’ll learn more about the role and the team so you can make an informed decision. This way, you can start an assignment that truly suits you with confidence, allowing you to make an impact while staying true to yourself.

The intention is that, if there is a mutual fit, you will transition to a permanent position with the client after the traineeship. 90% of our trainees make the transition, and after three years, 80% are still working there!
• A bachelor’s degree from a university of applied sciences or a master’s degree in a technical field;
• A passion for IT and a desire to learn;
• An interest in personal development and a willingness to work on it;
• You don’t shy away from challenges; you’re decisive and thoughtful;
• You have strong communication skills in Dutch and English (minimum B2 level).
