Train the Trainer

Through the Digital Inclusion (DI) program, libraries, public service providers, and local partners help citizens navigate digital government services. The Digital Government Information Point (IDO) and the Digital Literacy Courses form the core of the program. You’ll find an information point in all of our libraries. To help citizens navigate the system, library staff must, of course, be well-versed in it themselves. That’s why our education team trains these trainers. And now we’re expanding and looking for someone with your expertise.

What will you be doing?

You will train the IDO staff at our libraries at least once a year. It is important that they stay up to date. In addition, you will assist libraries in further developing courses on basic (digital) skills. You will engage with them to identify areas where staff can improve in order to best serve visitors. The focus of your training sessions may vary by location. After the sessions, you’ll stay on top of things and ensure that the course material is retained and that training participants can apply it in practice.

You

• You have a college or university level of work and thinking
• Do you have experience working at a digital service provider or at the Digital Government Information Center?
• Understand how the social sector works in the digital realm
• Understands the dynamics of a political and administrative environment
• You are results-oriented, innovative, and quality-conscious.

Skills

• Teaching skills: The ability to develop and deliver effective training programs, taking into account participants’ different learning styles and skill levels.
• Communication skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential for communicating effectively with employees, partners, and other stakeholders.
• Organizational skills: The ability to plan, coordinate, and conduct training sessions, taking into account various logistical and operational aspects.
• Social engagement: A strong commitment to contributing to society by helping citizens develop digital skills and increase their self-reliance in an increasingly digital society.

We

• We are offering a contract for 24 hours per week with a gross salary between €3,484 and €4,451 based on full-time hours (scale 9, Public Libraries Collective Bargaining Agreement). Plus 8% vacation pay and a 4% year-end bonus. This contract will run through December 2025 at the latest.

About us

Probiblio advises public libraries in North and South Holland. We assist them with research, provide new insights, and offer advice on digitization, HR, and their operations. Together with the library, we develop (education) policies and support the library in implementing and ensuring their effectiveness. In addition, we transport books and materials. We are happy to do so. Libraries are incredibly important: they connect society.
