
The Stadsschouwburg and the PHIL are Haarlem’s two largest venues. Every year, we organize more than 400 events: from hip-hop to dance, theater, and cabaret at the Stadsschouwburg, and from pop and classical concerts to soul performances, television productions, corporate events, and conferences at the PHIL. Behind the scenes, a dedicated team of technicians works to make all these productions possible. Due to a colleague’s departure, we are looking for an experienced and collaborative Stage Manager for 36 hours per week.
We are a single organization with two prominent venues in the heart of Haarlem. The Theater Technology department ensures that all performances and events run smoothly. The team is led by the head of the department and consists of 5 stage managers, 8 technicians, and a production assistant. We are a diverse team and strive to create a work environment where everyone feels welcome and valued.
As a stage manager, you play a central role in the technical preparation and execution of performances, concerts, and events at both the PHIL and the Stadsschouwburg. You ensure that everything runs smoothly on and around the stage and lead the technical team during setup, the performance, and teardown. You serve as the primary point of contact for companies and artists and ensure a welcoming, safe, and professional working environment.
