Are you an experienced fundraiser with a passion for theater, a collaborative spirit, and the ability to build lasting relationships with endowment funds and foundations? If so, we’d love to hear from you.
Theater Rotterdam is one of the major theater institutions in the Netherlands. We create theater, present theater, provide emerging artists with opportunities to develop their craft, and curate programs tailored to specific audiences and communities. Diverse voices, perspectives, theater forms, and languages come together here. Through our commitment to diversity and urgency, we are building a future-proof theater. Firmly rooted in our home base of Rotterdam and with a broad, international outlook. In everything we do, we strive to answer the question of what theater can be in today’s world and how we can engage our audience in that process.
At Theater Rotterdam, we strive to create a workplace that embraces diversity in the broadest sense. We therefore explicitly invite everyone to apply, regardless of your background, education, or experience. We are convinced that your unique perspective can make a valuable contribution to our organization. A writing assignment may be part of the application process.
Theater Rotterdam receives ongoing subsidies from the City of Rotterdam and the national government. The Development and Events department is responsible for developing and implementing the strategy for securing and retaining grants and donations, as well as for the commercial operation of the venues. With this revenue, the department makes a significant contribution to realizing Theater Rotterdam’s ambitions in the areas of programming, education, talent development, and engagement with the city.
