The public library is an accessible place where everyone can go for culture, knowledge, and study. Probiblio ensures that libraries will be stronger tomorrow than they are today. Because the library sector is constantly evolving, we evolve with it. In the coming period, Probiblio will continue to grow into an entrepreneurial and innovative knowledge and networking partner. Do you want to strengthen the collaboration between 39 libraries? Then Probiblio is looking for you!
Probiblio works for and with public libraries in North and South Holland. This includes 39 organizations with a total of 378 branches across 98 municipalities. All of these libraries can turn to us for support with their operations. Whether it concerns digitization, staff and volunteers, marketing, the collection, or programs for media literacy and education, Probiblio is ready to provide both practical assistance and strategic advice.
Your Role
As a skilled organizational consultant (networking), you will help libraries form and strengthen effective partnerships to increase the library’s impact. This may involve collaborating with partners in the neighborhood, within the building, and/or within the municipality. Drawing on your enthusiasm, knowledge, and experience, you will advise libraries on formulating partnership strategies. Using a clear approach, you will guide the process of strengthening a library’s position within organizational networks. You will serve as a sounding board for our libraries on all the challenges that collaborating in local organizational networks entails.

Projects will range from providing advice on formulating collaboration strategies to supporting library staff working within a language network.
What are we looking for in you?
You are an enterprising consultant who wants to contribute to the future of public libraries. No one knows what the future holds, but that’s not a problem because you know how to translate collaboration challenges in neighborhoods and municipalities into library strategy. You’re able to navigate the political and administrative landscape with ease, and you’re attuned to the interests of various stakeholders. You thrive on collaborating with other disciplines to forge connections.
