Psychosocial Support Specialist

What will you be doing?

As a Psychosocial Support Specialist, youprovidepractical and psychosocial support to victims and their families. Immediately following an incident, they often require intensive and/or urgent support. You help clients manage stress-related symptoms, assist them with practical matters such as seeking compensation, provide information about the criminal justice process and victims’ rights, and refer them to external resources when necessary.

In addition, you will serve as a resource for colleagues, provide coaching, and offer advice on complex cases. You will play a key role in monitoring and improving the quality and consistency of our services, both through direct support and by participating in case reviews.

What do you bring to the table?

• A completed associate's degree, preferably in social work (such as MWD).
• Knowledge of psychosocial counseling, grief counseling, etc.
• Experience supporting colleagues in their professional development.
• Strong communication skills.
• Willing to be scheduled for on-call duty for emergency care (24/7).
