Do you also enjoy working with people and data? Are you organized and interested in helping build a knowledge base? Is entering data into systems no problem for you? Do you have knowledge of IT, technology, and the standard Microsoft Office suite? Would you like to use this knowledge to make an important contribution to society? Then join us and help make the library stronger and better tomorrow than it is today!
Libraries are increasingly making use of data. Through its Organizational Consulting team, Probiblio supports them by providing standard reports. Working with Power BI is new to most library staff, which is why Probiblio develops explanatory documentation and offers training sessions. You will work on the knowledge base, prepare the Power BI reports, and help organize training sessions and workshops. It is a plus if you can also assist with preparing the data.
Probiblio collaborates with other organizations in the sector to address the complex challenges surrounding data. You will prepare meetings and documents and participate in discussions as needed.
We need some help, which is why we're looking for you.
What is a typical workday like?
In the morning, you’ll dive into the library’s data issues alongside the information management consultant. Together with the consultant, you’ll work out the details of these issues. You’ll retrieve the data for the standard report and generate the report. You’ll make sure everything looks polished. Then you’ll schedule a meeting for the rollout. Since you now have a good idea of what questions to expect, you’ll put together a set of explanatory documents—mostly written by you.
The rollout process is becoming easier and easier. You follow existing procedures, but you also take a critical look: what can be done better, faster, or more efficiently? You refine the process where necessary and ensure it runs more smoothly. You continue to develop the template. Meanwhile, you run the script to retrieve the data. You enjoy not only using scripts, but also writing, maintaining, and automating them. This makes your work—and that of your colleagues—much more efficient.
In the afternoon, you join the national meeting of data analysts. An inspiring presentation on current challenges gets you thinking. You come up with ideas for preparing your libraries for these challenges and jot down a preliminary plan. Tomorrow, you’ll discuss it with your colleague and work out the details.
Does this position appeal to you? If so, we’d love to hear from you! You can apply by October 19, 2025, at the latest, by submitting your cover letter and resume via the application form.
