Would you like to work on a meaningful mission that makes a difference in society? Are you creative and able to translate messages for diverse audiences into visual content and enhance them through your designs? And are you looking for a varied role with plenty of room for initiative?
Then this job is for you!
The Graphic Designer is part of the communications team at Waag Futurelab. This team is responsible for the organization’s corporate communications and all external communications, and provides internal advice on communications related to research projects, educational programs, and public events.
For nearly 30 years, Waag Futurelab has been researching how technology can be used to drive social innovation. Some of Waag’s best-known projects include Fairphone, the world’s most sustainable smartphone, and De Digitale Stad, one of the very first social media platforms in the Netherlands.
Your future colleague Ouarda talks about working at Waag: “The freedom the organization gives me to shape my own projects really suits me. My colleagues appreciate me, I can be myself, and that makes it a great place to work.”
Waag operates as a team of designers, artists, and scientists who apply public research methods to technology and society. In doing so, Waag empowers as many people as possible to help shape an open, fair, and inclusive future. We do this by collaboratively exploring emerging technologies, questioning underlying cultural assumptions, and designing alternatives based on public values. In this way, we strive to contribute to an open, fair, and inclusive future. Visitwaag.orgfor more information about Waag and the projects we are working on.
Diversity is crucial to making technology and society more open, fair, and inclusive. That is why we encourage candidates from diverse cultural backgrounds to apply. Even if you feel you don’t meet all the requirements, we still encourage you to apply. Some qualities can’t be captured in bullet points.
Deadline:December 31, 2024
If we find the right candidate sooner, we may close the position early—so don’t wait too long to apply!
