Discriminatie.nl Zaanstreek-Waterland is seeking an administrative assistant and an information/complaints handling officer (m/f/x) for the Zaanstreek region, for 24 hours per week (based in Zaandam).

Discriminatie.nl, which operates in seven municipalities, currently employs six staff members. In addition, there are a number of volunteers, including the board members. The organization is characterized by an open internal structure.
Job description for office assistant:
Handling and documenting complaints related to discrimination. Providing support to the complainant and mediating to reach a satisfactory resolution (16 hours).
The office worker:
- Monitors developments in the field of complaint handling (in the social, legal, and political spheres);
- Handles complaints, reports, and general inquiries;
- Records complaints and reports in the tracking system;
- Helps shape policy regarding the handling of complaints;
- Provides information and explains the scope of work or other projects to internal and external contacts.
Developing and implementing projects (8 hours).
The office worker:
- Establishes contacts with (potential) partners;
- Develops projects that encourage victims of discrimination to come forward;
- Contributes to existing projects at Discriminatie.nl;
- Writes project proposals and evaluation reports.

- Provides educational information and guest lectures in secondary, vocational, and elementary schools;
- Provides information and training to external organizations;
- Develops educational materials and guest lectures for schools and other organizations;
- Contributes to shaping Discriminatie.nl’s policies in the areas of education and public information;
- Carries out projects and writes evaluation reports;
- Advises, influences, and motivates organizations and professionals.

- Monitoring developments in the field of discrimination and related issues (in the social, legal, and political spheres);

- A one-year appointment, with the possibility of converting it to a permanent position;
- Gross monthly salary in accordance with the Social Work Collective Bargaining Agreement, pay scale 8. The starting salary depends on education and experience.
