What will you be doing?
As a Financial Controller at Arkin, you play a crucial role in ensuring accurate financial reporting. Together, you help ensure that the goals set by our organization are achieved. You are a proactive force who provides support and advice to our team of 12 Group, Business, and Financial Controllers. Your contribution is essential for providing reliable financial information that supports our organization in financial management and decision-making.
Your responsibilities:
- You are responsible for preparing both ad hoc and monthly financial reports at both the central and decentralized levels. You identify trends, developments, opportunities, and risks, and report them clearly to management and other stakeholders.
- You will support the Business Controllers by providing financial advice based on the reports and analyses provided.
- You will monitor operations, identify discrepancies, and take corrective action. In addition, you will collaborate and coordinate with various departments to ensure streamlined month-end closing procedures.
- You will provide support with grant-related reporting documents, collect relevant financial data, and ensure accurate financial information for grant reporting within the applicable deadlines.

- You have a bachelor’s degree in a financial or economic field (such as Business Economics) and, preferably, several years of work experience. But are you a talented, recent business economics graduate? If so, you’re also welcome to apply!
- Do you have knowledge of financial processes, reporting standards, and accounting principles;
- Are you already familiar with the relevant laws and regulations in the field of auditing, just as knowledge of grants is required, or do you know that you can quickly master this material?

The Planning & Control (P&C) department is part of the Finance and Control unit at Arkin. Together with other departments such as Business Intelligence, Sales, and Financial Administration, P&C handles financial planning and control. They report to various departments and to the Board of Directors, prepare budgets, conduct analyses, and provide advice. P&C assists in making forecasts, identifying trends, and developing future plans. The reports and proposals they produce are crucial to achieving our goals, both strategic and operational.
