As the Erasmus+ Internationalization Coordinator, you areresponsible for coordinating Erasmus+ activities at HKU: from grant applications and contracting through to implementation, monitoring, and reporting. You play a key role at the intersection of strategy and policy development, partnerships & collaboration, and monitoring & reporting. You will serve as the point of contact for the National Agency.

Question 1 – Describe a situation in which you were involved in applying for, managing, or accounting for a (European) grant (e.g., Erasmus+). What was your role, and what challenges did you encounter?
Question 2 – In your opinion, what role can grant programs (such as Erasmus+) play in strengthening education at an institution like HKU? Briefly describe how you would encourage the academies to take advantage of these programs and what motivates you to work with this type of program.
Question 3 – Suppose an academy wants to launch a new Erasmus+ project but has little experience with grant applications. How would you guide them from the initial idea through to the application?
Utrecht School of the Arts (HKU) has eight academies spread throughout the bustling center of Utrecht. With over 4,000 students, it is one of the largest art colleges in Europe. We offer more than 50 creative degree programs at the associate degree, bachelor’s, and master’s levels. This is where art, creativity, and innovation come together.
The Erasmus+ Internationalization Coordinator works across the organization and is based within the Center for Research, Education, and Innovation (OOI). OOI consists of an enthusiastic team of education experts and researchers. OOI contributes to the development of flexible, innovative, and future-proof education. The department focuses on offering distinctive and future-proof education, and also supports practice-oriented research within HKU.
Within the OOI department, you will be part of the Quality and Internationalization team and will serve as a key liaison between international coordinators, project leaders within the academies, administrative departments, the board, and international partners.
