NTR is the broadcaster behind acclaimed shows such as *Het Klokhuis*, *Andere Tijden*, *Dream School*, and *Kunststof*. In the fields of culture, information, education, and science, we offer content for all audiences, with programs and platforms that inspire and lead to new insights and personal growth.
The history program *Andere Tijden*, which explores our recent past, plays a major role in the dissemination of knowledge, a priority for NTR. In addition to *Andere Tijden*, the History Department produces other historical programs that contribute to this goal. For example, they are currently working on series about emigrants and mothers who gave up their children for adoption.
The History Department is seeking a candidate for the program *Andere Tijden* to start on January 1, 2025:
Editor-in-Chief (m/f/x)
(32 per week)Here's what you'll be doing:
- Leading the experienced TV team at Andere Tijden
- Help us brainstorm ideas for the new weekly format of *Andere Tijden*
- Finding relevant stories that can be told in a vivid way
- Perform final editing of content
- Work with the producer to prepare program budgets and ensure that work is completed within budget and on time
- Leading editorial meetings and program reviews
- Developing new TV and online formats in collaboration with the Editor-in-Chief of History
- Collaborating with colleagues from the online and history series teams

- You have a journalist’s instinct and a proven passion for and knowledge of history.
- You have experience in a similar role
- You are an editor-in-chief with a clear vision for integrated programming
- You are an approachable colleague who communicates clearly and effectively and works well with others

Here's what we offer:
A contract through December 31, 2025, with the possibility of extension. Depending on knowledge and experience, this position is classified within salary grade H (with a salary range of €3,651.03 to €5,742.43) of the broadcasting collective bargaining agreement. The other terms and conditions of employment are also in accordance with the collective bargaining agreement for broadcasting personnel.
