Within the Zaanstreek-Waterland Safety Region, the fire department, police, GHOR, and municipalities of the Zaanstreek-Waterland region work together to prepare for and respond to incidents, crises, and disasters. An information-driven approach is essential for effective and efficient operational activities. As part of the ICT and Information Services team, you will work alongside 12 colleagues. As a Data Administrator, you are responsible for the technical and functional management of the various information sources and systems that form the basis for our information-driven operational activities. You ensure that the data environment is optimally available to the organization and meets the requirements for reliability, availability, and security.
In this role, you will perform the following tasks:
• Setting up a data warehouse to optimally support data-driven operations
• Managing and setting up various databases and information systems
• Operational management, including the design and optimization of workflows and data processes
• Monitoring and improving the performance, reliability, and security of data systems
• Coordinating data integration between different systems and sources
• Troubleshooting and resolving technical issues and incidents
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to identify data needs and implement solutions
• Documenting technical procedures and user manuals

• College-level work and thinking skills
• Education in the field of information technology
• Experience with the technical and functional management of databases and information systems
• Experience with geographic information systems (GIS) software such as ArcGIS or QGIS
• Experience with SQL, data integration tools, and techniques
• You have a proactive, problem-solving attitude and strong communication skills
A dynamic work environment where working from home is an option. A salary ranging from a minimum of €3,328 to a maximum of €4,835 gross per month for a 36-hour workweek. In addition to your salary and a solid pension plan, you’ll receive a discretionary budget of 18.63% of your salary (including vacation pay), travel allowance, a leased bicycle (optional), and you can work out at our facility!
