As a Data Engineer, you will contribute to this vision and be part of the Data & Analytics (D&A) team within the Information Management department. On a day-to-day basis, you will work closely with colleagues from the D&A team, the Information Management department, and IT. You will contribute to the design, implementation, and ongoing development of the Azure data platform and the NOC_NSF data warehouse.
What will you be doing?
- Designing, implementing, and further developing the Azure data platform and the NOC*NSF data warehouse;
- Optimizing the data warehouse architecture, data modeling, and data processes;
- Optimizing Azure services that support data processing;
- Accessing and securely processing data from various internal and external source systems, including via APIs;
- Design and develop, in collaboration with the Data Architect, effective data models for data products, including Power BI reports;
- Providing consulting services in the areas of data processes, data quality, data architecture, metadata, and data visualization.

You have
- HBO+ level of work and thinking
- At least 5 years of work experience as a Data Engineer or Data Warehouse/ETL Developer
- Extensive experience in designing and developing an Azure data platform, data lake, or data warehouse
- Extensive experience with SQL, MS SQL Server, and Python
- Experience with data architecture, information analysis, and business analysis
- Experience with data modeling (Kimball), data visualization, and related principles
- Experience with Agile/Scrum
