Data Analyst (Finance)

What you will be doing

As a data analyst in the finance department, you will be responsible for collecting, analyzing, and presenting data that is critical to our internal operations. You will use various data analysis tools, such as PowerBI and Excel, to create clear reports and dashboards that help our management make more informed decisions. In addition, you’ll support the development of new analytical methods and help your colleagues by training them and advising them on data insights.

Your daily responsibilities will include:

• Collecting and analyzing data to gain valuable insights.
• Creating reports and dashboards using tools such as PowerBI, Excel, or other visualization tools.
• Contributing to the optimization of internal processes through data analysis.
• Training colleagues in the use of analytical tools and reports.
• Working closely with various internal teams to enable data-driven decisions.

These are your immediate colleagues

You will be part of the finance team working on challenging optimization projects within Berenschot and will interact frequently with various internal departments, including members of the Management Team, project leaders, and support departments. Together with your colleagues, you will help improve our internal finance processes and ensure that data-driven working is further embedded in our organization.

Here's what to bring

We are looking for a data analyst with strong analytical skills who thrives in a dynamic environment. You have:

• A completed associate’s or bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, such as business administration, business economics, accounting, information science, or data management.
• At least 2 years of experience in a similar role, such as data analyst, information analyst, business analyst, or BI consultant.
• Experience with Power BI and/or other visualization and analysis tools, such as Excel, Tableau, or QlikView. Knowledge of AFAS is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• An analytical, critical, and results-oriented approach.
• A proactive and eager-to-learn attitude, with the ability to adapt quickly in a project-based work environment.
• Familiarity with the consulting industry and project organizations.
• Proficiency in spoken and written Dutch.
