
Nederlands Dans Theater is one of the world’s leading modern dance companies. Behind the scenes, staff work to perfect the performances, the dance experience, and all related aspects—from costume design and production to lighting and sound design, as well as talent development and educational activities. Our team faces an exciting challenge: to position Nederlands Dans Theater as a brand with even greater visibility and a “broader” market reach, not only among our current audience but also among younger audiences. Through your strategic and tactical efforts, you will help us meet this challenge and contribute to realizing the ambitions of our dance company.
As Brand & Communications Coordinator, you will develop and implement the communications strategy and plans for a wide range of themes and projects. You will research, analyze, and evaluate the effectiveness and added value of communications activities in collaboration with communications specialists. You will be responsible for optimizing, managing, and monitoring the brand strategy across the entire organization, advising colleagues upon request or proactively, and evaluating and monitoring communication strategies and communications based on brand guidelines. You will also conduct periodic brand research and translate the results into concrete areas for improvement in our marketing communications. In collaboration with HR and your MCD manager, you will contribute to the development and implementation of the internal communication strategy aligned with the organization’s planned changes. You keep track of internal and external developments and disseminate relevant information via existing or new communication channels, ensuring that knowledge of and insight into relevant developments are up-to-date, available, and accessible to the team and the organization. As Brand & Communications Coordinator, you serve in an advisory role to relevant stakeholders based on your expertise and experience, in line with the established brand and communications strategy. You are also (jointly) responsible for managing the allocated communication budget and initiate necessary measures to ensure optimal use of this budget.
