De Nieuwe Kerk | H'ART Museum Amsterdam (DNK | HM) offers a dynamic environment where art, culture, and education come together. For our Education Department, we are seeking a passionate Education Coordinator who will inspire our visitors with enthusiasm and drive. In this role, you will work closely with two colleagues to ensure that exhibitions and programs are tailored to the selected target groups, particularly the students and schoolchildren in primary, secondary, and vocational education served by H’ART Museum Education.
The role
As Education Coordinator, you are the one who brings our engagement with the public to life. You serve as the link between exhibition curators, target audiences, teachers, schoolchildren, and students, and you develop an educational program for the exhibitions that inspires, enriches, and motivates. You are a go-getter who sees what is possible, and you know how to get both colleagues and the public excited about the (educational) program. With your experience in the cultural sector and your knowledge of educational pedagogy, you play a key role in the success of DNK | HM.
Together with the Head of Exhibitions and Education and the other Education Coordinator, you will help further develop the department. You will contribute to the mission and vision of Education at DNK | HM. Within the project organization, you will design educational programs for selected target groups and schools. Through content overviews and financial reports, you will provide your colleagues and stakeholders—such as funding organizations—with clear insights into how De Nieuwe Kerk | H’ART Museum Education makes a difference.
