You & CODA
As a copy editor/PR editor, you’ll enjoy developing local and regional PR campaigns for initiatives such as CODA’s heritage or reading promotion programs. You’ll work on various projects alongside your colleagues. In addition, you’ll have your own areas of focus, and the team will divide up the tasks that arise from current events. You’ll be part of a team that includes online marketing and social media specialists, web administrators, and colleagues specializing in exhibitions, heritage, education, and the ExperienceLab. Your work will primarily focus on creating and editing text and content for projects related to heritage, literature, reading promotion, and inclusion. Examples include Open Monument Days, Children’s Book Week, Poetry Week, CODA’s lecture program, language and history cafés, and library exhibitions.
What will you be doing at CODA?
- You can take texts of varying quality and turn them into a polished, engaging, and inspiring narrative that not only fits the project in question, but also aligns with CODA and the target audience you’re addressing;
- You’re not daunted by large volumes of copyediting work or overlapping deadlines. Planning is no problem for you;
- Heritage texts, job postings, online content for children’s activities, a press release for an exhibition, or an informational flyer for the CODA Libraries—you handle them all with ease. You quickly get a sense of the target audience and can adapt your language and tone accordingly;
- You enjoy being part of a project team on behalf of PR, which may consist of colleagues and/or external parties with whom a project is carried out;
- Copywriting, the target audience, and the way you want to present the information (online, offline, within or outside CODA, via social media, or in a press release) all come together seamlessly for you. You know how, where, and in what way to engage the target audience and choose the best tools for the job;
- CODA is committed to promoting reading, combating low literacy, and fostering diversity and inclusion. You find it both enjoyable and meaningful to explore these topics and contribute to them;
- You are responsible for local/regional (online and offline) PR campaigns and the associated results;
- You maintain contacts with the press, give interviews yourself when necessary, or identify the right person within the organization to do so.
