Are you a master at writing in a way that’s both informative and inspiring? And are you interested in helping school organizations and parents learn about the various web applications used in education? If so, apply now for the position of Communications Specialist.
You’ll be writing content for various websites (applications). You’ll also be involved in our annual visitor campaign for “Scholen op de kaart” and will write newsletters for our users. We have a solid foundation for our communication plans, but there’s definitely room for new ideas and putting them into action.
In addition to your colleagues in Communications, you’ll work closely with the Vensters team. This team keeps various target groups informed about current developments—for example, users of the applications developed for schools, school boards, and school partnerships. We’re happy to answer these users’ questions carefully every workday via email or phone. In addition, we know the visitors to Scholen op de kaart, who are primarily parents and students. But stakeholders such as the Ministry of Education, Culture and Science, politicians, the education inspectorate, and the media are also very interested in Scholen op de kaart and its applications. This highlights just how many target groups there are: working for the Councils means you’re right in the middle of the various target groups and stakeholders. All stakeholders have their own needs and interests, which requires appropriate communication.
In this role, you’ll also be involved in the association’s communications. For example, by highlighting our members’ work through interesting and engaging content.
Both councils are collaborating on the development of various online information products (apps) for schools, school boards, and school partnerships. With two development teams, we develop and manage these apps for over 10,000 users. The apps help users stay informed about topics such as exam results, student safety, and financial expenditures. In addition, the public website www.scholenopdekaart.nl enables schools to communicate what they do and why they do it to parents, students, and other interested parties, such as municipalities and the Education Inspectorate.
The PO-Raad and the VO-Raad are the associations representing schools in primary and secondary education. The Councils advocate for the common interests of school organizations in primary and secondary education with government agencies, political bodies, the business community, and civil society organizations. In addition, the Councils serve as catalysts for innovative projects and knowledge sharing in primary and secondary education.
You will be working within the Communications, Public Affairs, and Association Development cluster, where thirteen colleagues are involved in areas such as corporate communications, advocacy, and the development of the association.
