The Stadsschouwburg and the PHIL are Haarlem’s two largest venues. We organize more than 400 events a year: from hip-hop to dance, theater, and cabaret at the Stadsschouwburg. And from pop and classical concerts to soul performances, television productions, corporate events, and conferences at the PHIL. Our performances and events move, inspire, and bring people together. Behind the scenes, we ensure that everything runs smoothly, including the financial side of things. And that’s where you come in. Are you a hands-on Business Controller with a passion for numbers and data? Then we’re looking for you as our new Business Controller.
We are a single organization with two prominent venues in the center of Haarlem. The Finance & Control department is led by the Financial Director and consists of three staff members.
As a Business Controller, you play a key role in the financial management and oversight of our organization. You support the executive board and management with incisive analyses, reliable management information, and well-reasoned recommendations.
A sample of your responsibilities:
You are an analytically strong and meticulous colleague with a hands-on approach, who can easily switch between hands-on tasks and reviewing figures and data in reports. You also excel at planning, organizing, and setting priorities. Furthermore, you feel at home in a multicultural environment and understand how important a sound financial foundation is for our organization.
You should also bring:
A varied role in an inspiring environment, with room for initiative. You’ll work in a small, close-knit team where we’re building a solid financial foundation for our organization together.
