IBGS Consultant

What are you going to do?

As an advisor specializing in IBGS within the Operational Planning Department, you serve as the link between the Operational Planning, Professional Competence, and Law Enforcement departments. You ensure that the IBGS specialty is fully integrated within the organization and provide tactical advice to management, commanders, and other departments regarding developments in this field.

Who are you?

You will foster collaboration between departments and ensure that everyone is working toward the same goal. In addition, you will be responsible for reporting on the progress and performance of the IBGS specialty, and you will participate in national and regional meetings to further develop the specialty and coordinate efforts within the safety regions and national support centers.

Together with the Professional Competence Department, you will work to improve proficiency and will be jointly responsible for organizing the theme days for IBGS specialists, in collaboration with the IBGS instructors.

You may serve as a project manager for new projects, including the implementation of new materials and the monitoring of processes to ensure continuity and operational readiness.

• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• The ability to monitor processes and implement improvements.
• Experience in coaching and developing team members and overseeing training sessions and exercises.
• Do you have experience in policy and project management, and are you skilled at providing advice? 
• You have a college-level education and way of thinking
• You have experience in law enforcement in the IBGS field, preferably as a SWAT team member or commander
• You are flexible in terms of scheduling, including for any weekend and/or evening sessions
• You must have a Class B driver's license. A Class C driver's license is preferred.

• Depending on your education and experience, a salary in pay scale 10 ranging from €3,581 to €5,356 gross per month, based on a 36-hour workweek.
• A job for 32–36 hours per week
• A flexible spending allowance equal to 18.63% of your gross annual salary. This includes your year-end bonus and vacation pay.
• 187.2 hours of leave based on a 36-hour workweek, of which 43.2 hours are overtime. May 1 and May 5 are mandatory days off. These days (14.4 hours) are deducted from the 43.2 hours.
• A one-year appointment, with the possibility of a permanent position.
• A generous pension plan through ABP, 70% of which is paid by the Amsterdam-Amstelland Fire Department.
• The option to work remotely with a work-from-home allowance of €3 per day.
• Monthly health insurance premium.
• Free use of all sports facilities at the fire stations.

• The opportunity to take on an on-call position in addition to your regular job

The team

The Public Transport Division is part of the Fire and Rescue Services sector. The Public Transport Division consists of three teams: the Information-Driven Incident Response Team, the Firewater and Accessibility Team, and the Development and Specialization Team.

Your position is part of the Development and Specialization Team.
