Education Advisor (Boekstart)

What will you be doing?

You advise libraries on partnerships with childcare centers and early childhood and preschool education programs. You contribute to a joint language and digital approach for the youngest target group (0–4-year-olds) and closely monitor social developments affecting these children. What is the impact of multilingualism? What is the importance of reading aloud? You advise library management teams on an optimal range of products and services and provide ideas to further develop the expertise of library staff in the areas of language and digital skills.

You

• You have a college or university level of work and thinking
• Have at least 3–5 years of experience working with the youngest age group (0–4 years)
• Are you curious and looking to connect?
• Understands the dynamics of a political and administrative environment
• Understands the ins and outs of working in multidisciplinary teams
• Be confident and know how to inspire the person you're talking to
• Loves variety
• Do you have the courage to take the initiative and accept responsibility?
• You are results-oriented, innovative, and quality-conscious.

We

• We are offering a temporary position for 32–36 hours per week for one year, with the possibility of a permanent position. The gross salary ranges from €3,484 to €4,956 (based on full-time hours) (scale 9 or 10, Public Libraries Collective Bargaining Agreement). Plus 8% vacation pay and a 4% year-end bonus.

The world is becoming increasingly digital, and together with libraries, we want to ensure that no one is left behind (or excluded from society). It’s never too early to start building basic skills like language and digital literacy. Our education team is expanding and will have many job openings in the coming months. Probiblio advises public libraries in North and South Holland. We assist them with research, provide new insights, and offer advice on digitization, HR, and their operations. Together with the library, we develop educational policies and support the library in implementing and ensuring their success. In doing so, we help libraries put themselves on the map. In addition, we transport books and materials. We are happy to do so. Libraries are incredibly important: they connect society.
