As a diversity and inclusion advisor, you will help make the City of Arnhem a more diverse and inclusive organization. Together, we want to create a work environment characterized by respect and mutual understanding, where everyone is welcome and able to participate.
As a diversity and inclusion advisor , you will contribute to the city’s “Inclusive Arnhem” program . Through this program, the City of Arnhem is working on five themes to build an inclusive city andorganization. In your role, you will focus on the theme of a diverse and inclusive municipal organization.This involves addressing questions such as: How can we ensure that we are an organization with which residents can identify? Where (new) employees can be themselves and feel even more seen, heard, and valued, and where we exclude no one? Your work has a significant impact on the work culture of the City of Arnhem, and you’ll also have the opportunity to contribute ideas for improvements within the organization.

In the HR department, we focus on “the right person in the right place” across the entire organization. After all, it’s our employees who make the difference. With a staff of about 35, we provide high-quality advice and support to both management and employees.
In this role, you will be part of the BPA (Policy, Process, and Employment Conditions) team. Together with the strategic HR business partners, this team forms the foundation of HR policy and provides advice on complex HR issues. You will work closely with the Diversity & Inclusion Officer and the Inclusion Team, which consists of five employees. The focus is on building a diverse and inclusive municipal organization. In addition, you will ensure strong collaboration with colleagues in the HR and Inclusion department. For you, co-creation is the key to achieving results.
