As an Events Account Manager at the Concertgebouw, you’ll be working at one of the most beautiful concert halls in the world, in a place where there’s something new to experience every day.
Together with three colleagues, you are part of the Events team. The team is part of the Production, Venue Rental, and Events department. You play a key role in making events happen. Thanks to your knowledge and experience, your customer-focused approach, and your use of various software programs, you contribute to the planning and execution of events alongside the concert programming at the Concertgebouw.

The Concertgebouw is one of the most visited concert halls in the world, hosting over 900 events and welcoming approximately 750,000 visitors each year. The acoustics of our halls are world-renowned; nowhere else does classical music sound more beautiful. - You have knowledge and several years of experience in organizing and planning events.

What will you be doing?
You will serve as the point of contact for internal and external clients who wish to rent venues within the Concertgebouw to organize events. You will act as the liaison for caterers, event managers, and AV companies, and will be responsible for the entire event from start to finish, including preparation and financial processing.
With your enthusiasm and attention to detail, you will build long-term relationships with event organizers to ensure they continue to host events, and you will contribute to the Concertgebouw’s mission to offer our guests a diverse range of high-quality events.
Your main duties and responsibilities are:
- You will handle the operational planning for events organized by various entities: you will assess the feasibility of plans (in terms of organization, content, and finances) and document the agreements reached for the departments responsible for implementation;
- You advise event organizers on logistics, catering, audiovisual equipment, and pricing;
- You will consult with and advise caterers and AV specialists, and document the agreements reached for the operational departments;
- You prepare cost estimates, contracts, and scripts;
- You will provide optimal support to the organizers and foster a good working relationship with them, which may require you to be available in the evenings or on weekends.
- You will manage the schedule and enter all event data into the iConcert scheduling system;
- You are responsible for ensuring that financial transactions are processed correctly.
What does your team look like?
You will be part of the Events Department, a dedicated and key team of four colleagues. The team is responsible for the rental and scheduling of the various venues and serves as the point of contact for event organizers during the planning phase. The Events Department is part of the Production, Venue Rental, and Events Department.

- A salary ranging from €2,551 to €3,545 gross per month based on full-time employment (38 hours per week).
- Full-time employment is preferred, but a contract for 30.4 hours per week is also an option.
- The contract is initially for one year.
