With surprising answers, suggestions, and assistance, you’ll create unforgettable experiences in our beautiful metropolis of Amsterdam. Does that sound like your dream job? Then check out our job opening for a Webcare Representative!

Webcare Representative– Part-time – Available immediately – Part-time job – Amsterdam

We are looking for an enthusiastic Webcare Representative to join our Hospitality & Products team. Do you feel right at home in the world of social media? Is hospitality a top priority for you, and would you enjoy helping residents and visitors navigate the wide range of offerings at the Metropool? Then read on!

What will you be doing?
As a Webcare Representative, you’ll be the online face of the Amsterdam Metropolitan Area. Together with another Webcare Representative, an intern, and the team at the I amsterdam Store, you’ll ensure excellent (online) service. You’ll ensure that the expectations of the target audience are exceeded during every online interaction with residents and visitors. In doing so, you’ll increase engagement and create “I amsterdam ambassadors.”

Your responsibilities as a Webcare Representative are varied, which means no two days are the same! You’ll be working closely with various teams within the organization, such as the City Card team, the social media team, the communications department, and our colleagues at the I amsterdam Store.

The role of Webcare Representative includes the following responsibilities:

  • Online services via social media, email, and live chat. Residents and visitors can use these channels to ask us questions about our products, the city, and the Metropolis. You’ll also respond to reviews on platforms such as Trustpilot and Google.
  • Community management on our social media channels. You’ll work closely with our social media team, who create the posts for our social media channels. Our customer service team monitors comments on that content, responds to and likes them, and actively looks for engaging posts to interact with.
  • In addition to your regular duties, you’ll be thinking about how we can continue to develop our webcare services within the organization (for example, how we can make our online services “smarter”).
  • You will regularly be involved in projects within the organization. Drawing on your expertise in webcare, you will contribute ideas to the development of a project.
  • You will report to the Managing Director of Hospitality & Products.

Who are you?
You have a talent for writing, are proactive, and have a service-oriented mindset. You’re creative in coming up with solutions to problems that residents or visitors encounter and share on social media. You’re comfortable with frequent social media use and are well aware that the wrong response can cause damage. You can empathize well with the target audience and prioritize that perspective. Additionally, you know how to respond clearly and with the appropriate tone of voice.

You have:

  • Vocational or higher vocational education level (communication/hospitality)
  • At least 1 year of relevant work experience is preferred
  • Excellent command of English and Dutch (knowledge of a third language is a plus)
  • Proven experience in writing and customer service (experience with online/social media channels is a plus)
  • A passion for growing into this role
  • High level of empathy
  • You're a multitasker
  • You have a knack for digital media (social media)
  • The necessary creativity (you come up with the best solutions)
  • Working in tourism requires flexibility. You must therefore be willing to work on weekends and holidays.

What can you expect from us?
An employer that gives you a lot of freedom in how you do your work. Continuous development is an integral part of our corporate culture. In our organization, we believe it is important for our colleagues to make a difference for the city and the metropolitan area. Do you want to help build a livable, attractive, prosperous, sustainable, and inclusive Amsterdam Metropolitan Area? Then apply for this position.

In addition, we offer you:

  • A salary of approximately €2,000 to €2,300 (based on a 38-hour workweek)
  • A position for 16 to 20 hours per week
  • A job where no two days are the same and where you can put your creativity to good use
  • A personal budget for training
  • Hybrid work: the option to work from home or from the office
  • The I amsterdam Crew Card, which gives you free or discounted admission to nearly all of Amsterdam’s museums and attractions.
