Who are we?

Recreatie Noord-Holland develops, manages, and operates green spaces and trail networks. In doing so, we strive to strike a good balance between nature and recreation that enhances the overall quality of the environment. Visitors come here to relax and recharge their batteries. Our largest clients are the Alkmaarder- and Uitgeestermeer, Spaarnwoude, Groengebied Amstelland, Twiske-Waterland, and Geestmerambacht recreation boards. We also work for the province, municipalities, and various land management organizations.

Where will you be working?

You will be joining a dedicated team consisting of four real estate consultants and two support staff. Together with this team, you will be responsible for the sustainable management of land and buildings and the associated contract management. The team operates in a complex environment involving government organizations, local residents, project developers, and recreation entrepreneurs, among others. The work is challenging and the work atmosphere is informal. The work area covers five recreation areas spread across North Holland. Your focus will primarily be on the Spaarnwoude Park work area.

We are looking for an enthusiastic real estate consultant with excellent communication skills. Being self-reliant, proactive, and having a good sense of political and administrative dynamics are key qualities for this role. We’re looking for someone who truly enjoys and finds fulfillment in relationship management, consulting, and negotiation. A team player who thrives on achieving results collaboratively, understands the language of entrepreneurs, accurately documents agreements and contracts, and has a strong grasp of numbers. What will you be doing?

• You will serve as the face and point of contact for the (recreational) business owners and real estate contacts in the recreational areas we manage;
• You will share responsibility for the allocation and contract management of land and buildings in rural areas;
• You negotiate agreements and maintain relationships with contracting parties;
• You will enter into new (long-term) lease and rental agreements in consultation with the program manager and the area management manager;
• You will enter and report on the data in our digital management system;
• You will serve as a sounding board for project leaders during the planning, implementation, and decision-making phases of site and area development projects;
• You prepare estimates regarding finances, capacity, and turnaround time;
• You maintain contact with and assist contractual parties such as appraisers, real estate agents, the Land Registry, and notaries.

What are you bringing?

• Knowledge of the real estate market;
• college-level work and thinking skills;
• excellent advisory and negotiation skills (including in long-term and complex projects);
• precise in speech and writing;
• an understanding of political and administrative dynamics;
• Work experience as a (junior) private law attorney or property manager is preferred;
• Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations is a plus;
• a willingness to take relevant training courses;
• a Class B driver's license and your own transportation (our locations are difficult to reach by public transportation).

What do we offer?

• A challenging job in a unique location within a beautiful recreational area in North Holland;
• You will receive a gross monthly salary between €4,142 and €5,846, including the IKB, for full-time employment. The amount depends on your age, education, and experience;
• On an annual basis, this ranges from €49,706 to €70,162 gross (scale 10), including the IKB, based on the Collective Labor Agreement for Provinces, 2023 salary scale;
• The IKB (Individual Choice Budget) amounts to 22.37% of your gross salary. You receive this as income, but you can also use it for purposes that align with your personal preferences, such as additional days off or a bicycle allowance;
• To support your professional growth, you have a training budget of €5,000 every five years. You can use this for career development and coaching;
• You accrue pension benefits through the ABP, and we pay^two-thirds of the premium;
• We have an excellent policy on hybrid work;
