Climate Justice Policy Analyst

We are seeking a temporary replacement for a maternity leave position, starting September 1:an experiencedclimate justice & industry policy officer (0.8 FTE / 30 hours per week)

What will you be doing?

• You are helping to make 30 major polluters “Paris-compliant.”
• You will oversee the Climate Crisis Index, a major study of our list of major polluting companies.
• You keep abreast of developments in Dutch and European industrial policy.
• You will serve as the point of contact for all industry-related news and inquiries.
• You will be involved in the project to attract companies that are leaders in sustainability.
• If necessary, you will help shape our strategy for the national elections.

What are you bringing?

• You have extensive knowledge of Dutch climate and industrial policy.
• You work well with people from different disciplines.
• You have experience running campaigns and understand how to tell a story to a wide audience.
• You have experience supervising research.

Who do you work with?

During your first month, you will be trained by the policy officer who is going on maternity leave. After that, you will primarily work alongside the team of other policy officers and campaigners. You will be part of the Policy & Lobbying department. You will also collaborate on a project basis with press officers and communications specialists.

• A contract for a period of 6 months.
• A salary ranging from €4,405 to €5,500 for full-time employment, depending on your knowledge and experience. At Milieudefensie, this is a 37.5-hour workweek.
