You & Your Role

As an Urban Activation & Content Marketer, you will develop creative content strategies that resonate with the lives of urban entrepreneurs and young people.

You analyze customer data to optimize campaigns and amplify the impact of local initiatives through smart activations. You serve as the primary point of contact for local colleagues and translate their ideas into effective campaigns that contribute to growth, vitality, and entrepreneurship in the city.

Together with enthusiastic colleagues, you’ll ensure that Rabobank is visible where it matters most: right at the heart of urban life. In this role, you’ll develop innovative content, explore new communication channels, and amplify the impact of local urban initiatives through smart conversion optimization. Together, you’ll bring ideas to life that contribute to growth, vitality, and entrepreneurship in the five largest cities in the Netherlands.

Top 3 Responsibilities

  • You will develop innovative marketing strategies that resonate with the lives of urban target audiences. You will translate their needs into relevant communications and engagement initiatives that make Rabobank visible and meaningful in the city in a new way.
  • You will create and improve content for local offerings, customer journeys, partnerships, and marketing campaigns. You will do this as part of national growth strategies targeting young people and (aspiring) entrepreneurs, with a focus on local relevance and social impact.
  • You translate national goals into a local strategy that addresses the specific characteristics of urban areas. You increase Rabobank’s visibility and relevance by connecting communities, corporations, and local stakeholders.

We are centrally recruiting for two Urban Activation & Content Marketers (one with a focus on young people and one on (young) businesses). As an Urban Activation & Content Marketer, you will be based in Utrecht (as part of the Chapter Marketing team) and will work across all five major cities. You will collaborate closely with national and local managers and content marketers. You will serve as the link between national strategy and local execution, directly impacting Rabobank’s growth and visibility.Additionally, you will be part of an overarching community where all roles dedicated to urban growth exchange experiences and initiatives. This “urban growth” community will consist of approximately 25 FTE.

You & Your Talent

  • College or university level of work and thinking, and (extensive) experience in (online) marketing and campaign management;
  • Demonstrable experience working with urban target groups and addressing social issues;
  • Delivers always-on digital activation and campaigns;
  • Develops marketing communications across the entire customer journey (owned, earned, paid);
  • Operates in a data-driven manner, based on customer, market, and business insights;
  • Has experience and/or an interest in offline (sales) activation;
  • Connects local communities with central organizations and corporations;
  • Thinks innovatively and takes an outside-in approach;
  • Is actively committed to diversity, inclusion, and social impact;
  • Proactive, curious, and results-oriented—go the extra mile for clients and the team;
  • Experience with agile working is a plus;
  • You are fluent in Dutch, both spoken and written. Speaking a second language is a plus; 
  • You navigate urban networks and digital communities with ease and know how to connect with people in a wide variety of cultural settings.
