Do you want to help build a sustainable future for the Netherlands? And are you looking for a fast-track start as a consultant in the physical environment sector right after completing your master’s degree? If so, the Physical Environment Trainee position in the Energy & Environment consulting group is the perfect fit for you.
38.75 hours per week | Utrecht | Hybrid | €3,075 | Master’s degree
At Berenschot, you’ll have the opportunity to make an impact on social issues such as climate adaptation, urbanization, and the energy transition. You’ll work closely with experienced consultants for a year and invest in your own professional development through the trainee program.
Being a trainee at Berenschot means learning by doing. Four days a week, you’ll work on client projects, and on the fifth day, you’ll join other trainees in a program filled with training, coaching, and peer review. This allows you to quickly develop your consulting skills and professional expertise.
You will work on a variety of projects aimed at improving the quality of the physical environment in the Netherlands. This includes advising government agencies on spatial planning issues during a time of major change, such as the energy transition, climate adaptation, and urbanization. These developments call for smart leadership, collaboration, and vision, especially now that the Environment Act is introducing new roles and tools.
Your role? You help government agencies define their challenges, analyze potential solutions, and translate these into concrete implementation plans. You provide valuable insights and actionable recommendations, thereby contributing to social impact. You work on multiple consulting and research projects simultaneously, applying your expertise to topics such as spatial development, water management, housing, sustainability, and urban development. You will engage in discussions with stakeholders, facilitate workshops, and produce well-founded analyses with practical recommendations.
