Technical Project Coordinator (Construction)

OUR ORGANIZATION

De Fundering is a co-founder and co-initiator of venues such as the Volkshotel, LAB111 in Amsterdam, KINO in Rotterdam, and The Anthony in Utrecht. These are cultural and creative spaces where a commercial function—such as a hotel or movie theater—is combined with workspaces for artists, filmmakers, photographers, and other creative entrepreneurs. We operate without subsidies: the commercial side supports the non-commercial side.

De Fundering is involved in the conceptualization, design, and development of these projects and, as a co-owner, remains actively involved in real estate and operations. This allows us to ensure strong concepts, cohesive designs, and vibrant communities.

With new spaces currently under development, De Fundering continues to grow. We guide entrepreneurs from concept to implementation, finance projects, and provide support for entrepreneurship. We operate out of our inspiring office in the heart of Amsterdam, which we also open up as a coworking space for creatives and cultural entrepreneurs.

ABOUT THE POSITION

As a Technical Project Coordinator in construction, you will provide support throughout all phases of the construction process: from permit applications and sustainability studies to installation aspects and final handover. You will assist with administrative, organizational, and communication tasks, giving you the opportunity to develop your skills within the fields of project development and construction.

You have a strong background in finance and analytics. You assist with analyses and calculations related to profitability and cost control, but you also have an eye for matters that cannot be directly expressed in numbers.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assistance with applying for environmental permits.    
  
• Helps draft project-specific specifications, covering technical, functional, and design aspects.
  
• Assist in developing and monitoring project schedules and budgets.    
  
• Managing and archiving project documentation and contracts.    
  
• Assist in organizing selection processes for consultants and contractors.
  
• Preparing (construction) meetings and developing action plans.    
  
• Take minutes and manage the agenda for (construction) meetings.
  
• Help maintain contact with contractors, municipalities, and consultants regarding practical matters.              
  
• Support during the handover phase.      

YOUR PROFILE

• HBO-level academic and intellectual ability. This may be demonstrated through education, work experience, or expertise gained in other ways.           
  
• For example, you have completed a degree in Architecture, Real Estate, Economics, Econometrics, Management, or a related field.
  
• At least 2 years of relevant work experience
  
• An interest in real estate development and/or construction processes.
  
• Meticulous, organized, and a strong communicator.
  
• Very strong with numbers and highly analytical.
  
• You enjoy working with others and aren't afraid to ask questions.    
  
• Basic knowledge of MS Office and, preferably, some administrative experience with project management software is a plus.
