Technical Advisor for Safe and Healthy Living

As a technical advisor, you’ll have plenty to do! Our portfolio is extensive, and the scope of work is broad and varied. Internally, you’ll collaborate closely with other technical advisors, real estate planners, project managers, and supervisors from various departments. You’ll also regularly coordinate your work with colleagues from the Residential division. Externally, you’ll collaborate with supply chain partners, suppliers, (building physics) consultants, utility network operators, and municipalities, among others.  

As a Technical Advisor, you will work at the strategic, tactical, and operational levels. You will be responsible for keeping abreast of developments in your field and translating them into concrete policies and tactical implementation plans. To ensure the implementation plan gets off to a strong start, you will collaborate with the project team until they are able to take it forward on their own.   

You are also responsible for ensuring that the policy and plan are actually followed by the operational departments. You switch easily between research tasks in the office, ongoing projects, and complex technical issues.   

Our Technical Advisors have expertise in architecture and provide consulting services in areas such as technical safety, building systems, and the energy transition. Your advice applies to both the existing real estate portfolio and new construction projects. As a Technical Advisor, you contribute to the data agenda to expand our knowledge of our real estate.   

We are looking for consultants to join our current team of Technical Advisors who have experience in topics related to “Safe & Healthy Living.” This includes fire safety, moisture and mold, asbestos and foundations, hazardous substances, Legionella, etc. Together with your colleagues, you’ll help make living in Amsterdam safer and healthier.

You’ll be part of the planning department. This department is responsible for, among other things: 

• managing our real estate data and the long-term maintenance plan;  
• developing maintenance programs;  
• supporting routine and update maintenance for contract management, claims, and rent review committee matters;  
• consulting services in areas such as urban development, energy transition, and new construction, renovation, and sustainability projects; 
• establishing frameworks for real estate management with regard to all forms of maintenance.

• Extensive experience in one or more of the following areas: Asbestos, Fire Safety, Foundations, Moisture & Mold, and Legionella. 
• You have the ability to translate policy frameworks into concrete applications in practice;  
• You're a good writer; 
• You can easily adapt to different areas of work and collaborate with colleagues and stakeholders 
• You also enjoy gaining a thorough understanding of a variety of topics and guiding and advising both internal and external stakeholders on these matters.

In exchange for sharing your talent, we offer you:  

• In addition to a salary ranging from a minimum of €3,894 to a maximum of €6,126 gross per month, based on a 36-hour workweek and your knowledge and experience (scale H through J of the Housing Services Collective Agreement), you will also receive a fixed year-end bonus of 6%;
