As a team member, you will assist with the entire application process and support the program managers in handling, monitoring, and managing projects.

Each year, DOEN funds more than 250 pioneers who bring their innovative ideas to life in the fields of the regenerative economy, a society based on solidarity, and radical imagination, both in the Netherlands and abroad. As a team member, you will assist with the entire application process and support the program managers in the processing, monitoring, and management of projects (grants, grants with conditions precedent, and loans).
The team you will be joining currently consists of seven colleagues: four Program Managers, one Junior Program Manager, and two Team Members. The Team Member is supervised (both in terms of content and function) by the Program Manager who serves as the HR Coordinator.
What exactly are you going to do?
- You will respond to applicants via email or phone and follow up on submitted applications in a timely and organized manner;
- You will assist with the initial screening of applications and prepare the weekly agenda for discussion with the team;
- You send the rejection letters;
- You will be responsible for providing project support and managing project administration in digital files within our project management system.
- You will assist program managers in reviewing and monitoring project proposals;
- You draft contracts and prepare interest and repayment schedules for loans;
- You manage the reporting process and coordinate payments and reimbursements with program managers, partners, and the finance department;
- You will support the financial process involved in converting grants with resolutive conditions into loans, loan forgiveness, and provisions;
- You regularly prepare project, program, and financial reports;
- You take minutes and prepare reports for project meetings and other internal and external meetings;
- You will provide support for DOEN-wide projects.
We want you for this position because;
- You are a proven go-getter who enjoys bringing structure to things and has experience with project administration;
- You have a college-level education and equivalent work experience; in addition, you have at least 5 years of relevant work experience.
- You recognize yourself in the following competencies: taking initiative, collaborating, integrity, acting in a customer-focused and socially aware manner, planning and organizing, organizational sensitivity, working with precision, and a focus on quality;
- You are accustomed to working with (financial) figures;
- You are genuinely committed to and interested in the work of the DOEN Foundation, specifically in the regenerative economy;
- You have a good knowledge and command of Dutch and English;
- You have experience working in diverse cultural contexts.
