In the Financial Affairs department, we deliver financial reports accurately and on time. This includes interim results, annual financial statements, budgets, multi-year forecasts, and similar documents. The Financial Administration sub-department ensures that the records are updated periodically (depending on the process) and contain the correct data. This allows us to generate the desired information from the records.

What will you be doing?
The Financial Administration Team Leader manages the staff of the Financial Administration department (5 FTE). You ensure that processes are carried out completely, accurately, and on time. This department provides the input for financial reports. That is why everything must be correct. The Team Leader supervises and evaluates the staff. In addition, the Team Leader creates the conditions necessary to perform the work accurately and on time.

The main responsibilities are:

  • Manage the staff of the Financial Administration department. Ensure that employees receive guidance and performance evaluations, and that the quality of their work is maintained.
  • Responsible for the timely and accurate processing of financial data in the accounting records.
  • Checking and verifying data and records for consistency and accuracy.
  • Ensure that the registration and data processing of the work are carried out in a professional and thorough manner.
  • Keep the subsidiary ledger and general ledger up to date, particularly with regard to accounts receivable and accounts payable.
  • Verify compliance with administrative procedures related to payments and invoicing.
  • Preparing payment advice lists and ensuring timely and accurate processing.
  • Manage payments and ensure their completeness and accuracy.
  • Assist with the work to be performed.
  • Contribute to the design and implementation of the software packages to the extent that this relates to the above tasks.
  • Developing and documenting administrative procedures within the areas of responsibility.
  • Performing various other tasks related to financial administration.
  • Ensure efficient filing.


We ask

  • A completed SPD/HEAO degree program.
  • A willingness to learn the ins and outs of leadership; leadership experience is a plus.
  • Experience with the job duties and the areas of responsibility listed.
  • Knowledge of tax matters, particularly VAT and the work-related expenses scheme.
  • Experience working with automated systems and spreadsheets.
  • Experience with D365 is a plus.

Terms of Employment The Financial Administration Team Leader will be appointed for a period of 1 year, with the intention of extending the contract. An assessment is part of the application process. Depending on education and experience, the salary ranges from a minimum of €2,940 to a maximum of €3,849 gross per month (scale 9 as of July 1, 2022), based on a full 36-hour workweek, excluding an 8% vacation allowance and year-end bonus. The Museum Collective Labor Agreement applies. In addition, we will provide you with a budget to set up your home office, and you will have unlimited opportunities for professional development and learning through an extensive e-learning package. Travel expenses are fully reimbursed starting at 5 km (up to €345).
